Congratulations Miss August Ferdilyn Sarmiento
After a highly participated voting by Tinig Pinoy Katinig (as members are fondly addressed) she emerges as winner for the monthly search for Miss August. By winning the monthly competition, Ferdilyn Sarmiento qualifies for the Grand Finals to be held in December.
Ferdilyn bested three other finalists for Miss August: Megumi Hijikata, Jeunese May Florendo and Novelyn Salabao.
With Megumi Hijikata scoring the highest on the essay, talent video and LIVE interview, Ferdily, despite having internet connectivity issues during the interview portion, got the second highest score on the much anticipated LIVE interview conducted on August 21st. The live show was hosted by the very capable Tinig Pinoy lady host, Michelle Alfeche, who engaged the services of three judges: Lyn Edralyn of Ottawa, LODI ng Bayan’s Marco Remulla and the very engaging Andy Cauyan who is based in the Middle East.
Ferdilyn’s clinching the monthly contest and emerging as Miss August is owed to the wide margin she garnered during the three-day voting by Tinig Pinoy members.
For the win, like all monthly contest winners, Miss August got PHP 1,500, Megumi took 1,000 as the first runner-up and third placer Jenuese got 500.

For the month of September, the call for entries is on September 4. It ends on September 14 and followed three days after by the LIVE interview prior to the voting by the general membership.
