I am Miss Lovelylady Baccani, 34 years of age. A proud Mum of one! Currently working in Singapore for almost 8 years. The pride of Ilokano’s, the place of bravest warrior, Abra! I believe that beholding such dreams are such a long journey! During the past years, beyond all my off days, I focused to improve myself. I decided seriously studied courses. I love to cook, I took courses in cooking (certificates in basic, baking, intermediate and masteral- Expat Kitchen Singapore). I’m also a proud Nurse Aider (FOWS- Bayanihan Centre Singapore), looking forward to My Photography Class at Fusionopolis place, Singapore ( A night class). Other hobbies are singing and outdoor ball games! Besides that, I have the heart and pashion to lead and encourage my fellow OFW’s of any race, to fulfill their dreams. May it come true by participating in the fashion world of beauty contest and modelling! To be exactly defined as a Volunteer Organizer in one of the most resounding success contest, The Miss Supreme Star Singapore 2016! Aiming for something and really wanna make it happen has no age, height, and status of life requirements! It is just the courage to make your life better and make it worthwhile! ESSAY OF MISS LOVELYLADY BACCANI
Thank you for this very amazing question.
Before I proceed to share my thoughts, do allow me to convey my warmest greetings to all distinguished creators, admins, as well as all members out there.
Here’s wishing you a pleasant day ahead! If I, Lovelylady, would to be crowned Miss Calendar Girl, January 2017, it will be in my best interest and duty to serve as an Ambassador Of Goodwill to my Fellow OFW’s working abroad against the wrath of abusive and violent employers’ hands.
I will use my voice to speak to our His Excellency, President Rodrigo Duterte. It would spur me to make a list of my agendas and propose suggestions as well as spell out cardinal rules to protect our OFW’s.
In addition, I will consult Mr. President to help us introduce a law to protect our vulnerable but precious OFW’s. Such a law would include that OFW’s be given equality between employer-employee,
mutual respect and a certain degree of freedom, privacy and space.
These include the ability to communicate with love ones back home as well as socialize with their fellow Filipinas working in the country of employment. No OFW should be kept confined that they do not have the ability to socialize. Of course our OFW’s should also observe the laws of the nation such prohibition of committing any form or crime when employed there. Should there be any non-compliance from either parties who fail to oblige these laws, an immediate review and counselling must take effect to understand the gaps for their non-conformances. Should both or either parties fail to provide valid reasons for the failure to adhere to these laws, then necessary actions will be taken accordingly.
I would also like to suggest that our President impose a rule to ensure that there are structured training programs introduced for OFW’s to understand their main task, their do’s and dont’s, the country’s heritage and cultures specific to the nation that they will be seeking employment at.
Such proper and structured education programs conducted before sending them abroad will allow our OFW’s to be adequately prepared. Last but not least, do trust that I will do my level best to push for such arrangements to our Mr President
to introduce these measures to protect our Filipinas who are seeking
employment abroad all in the hope of providing a decent standard of living for their families and loved ones back home. Once again I thank you.
