Tinig Pinoy, preparatory to its 25th year celebration of proudly serving the community which culminates with a gala on November 11th at Sala San Marco, is presenting its 3rd Tinig Pinoy Got Talent (TPGT) where a number of our local talents will compete and showcase their incredible talents. During this event, slated on August 19th, we have invited Heber Bartolome and his BANYUHAY Band to perform its unique brand of Filipino music and delight the expected huge crowd of Filipinos and Canadians alike at Andrew Haydon Park’s Band Shell. Many of us remember the highly acclaimed “Tayo’y Mga Pinoy” and Ka Heber’s other hit songs replete with nationalism and of Pinoys’ struggles in life and told in haunting songs which we think would help stir the Pinoy pride in us and our younger audience.
We have received confirmation from Ka Heber himself that Heber Bartolome and the Banyuhay Band will be performing during our August 19th event. This promises to be a great treat to our community who will be watching Tinig Pinoy Got Talent III at Andrew Hayod Park. Tinig Pinoy Got Talent III and Banyuhay ni Heber Bartolome: that’s a double-barrel load of entertainment at no cost to the community members. What a great way to spend a beautiful Ottawa summer weekend. See y’all there!
By the way, Tinig Pinoy has booked Andrew Haydon park for a whole day of fun consisting of games and community picnic for everyone to enjoy. So, please mark your calendar on that day, August 19th.
