Our featured Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) today, Saturday, December 10th 2016 at DEAR DJ REGINA show is a native of Masantol, Pampanga, Philippines.
His name is Artemio Gaddi Jr. Married and a loving father to his daughter. He is also called Jayyar Gaddi. He left Philippines in April 9, 2010 to work in Dubai, United Arab Emirate.
Jayyar is one of the ten children. He is grade 6 graduate. He saw that his parents can’t afford to send them all to school at the same time. So, he stopped his schooling so he can help his parents and his siblings.
“Nag abroad po ako kasi gusto ko mapaganda at maiayos ang kinabukasan ng aming anak at para makatulong sa magulang ko. Dumating ako ng 2010 ng Dubai. Ang trabaho ko po sa isang napakaraming shop ng Lulu Hyperrmarket sa Karama Dubai UAE. I’m glad dahil kahit mahirap magkaliskis ng isda basta sa pamilya kayang tiisin. Payo ko sa kapwa ko OFW ay maging masinop sa kinikita natin. Alam ko maraming tukso sa mga bilihin pero dapat yung kailangan aa kailangan lang natin Ang bilhin natin. God bless po sating lahat.”
Translation: I work abroad because I want a better future for our daughter and to help my parents. I arrived here in Dubai in 2010. I worked in so many shop in Lulu Hypermarket at Karama, Dubai, UAE. I am glad because even if it is difficult to clean a fish as long as I am able to help my family, I will endure. My advise to my fellow OFW is to be careful with your money. I know there are lots of temptation to buy but you must buy what really need. God Bless us all!
